The process included:

• Carefully removing one diamond to open the band
• Cutting the ring and adjusting it to the correct size
• Inserting a solid platinum section into the gap
• Using laser welding for platinum, which minimises heat and protects surrounding diamonds
• Resetting the diamond to continue the eternity pattern
• Hand-finishing and replicating the original engraved design
• Final polishing and stone security checks

Laser welding is particularly effective for platinum ring resizing, as it reduces the risk of damage and is ideal for rings with heat-sensitive gemstones.
