Full Eternity Ring with Rub Over Set Diamonds in 18ct Gold

Full eternity means the diamonds run the whole way round the band rather than stopping at the halves.

Between 24 and 28 white diamonds of 1.7mm each are set into this ring, and the number varies because a larger finger size needs more stones to go the full circle. That is one of the advantages of a ring made to order: the stone count is worked out for your size rather than forced to fit a standard.

The setting is rub over, which means the metal is pushed over the edge of each stone to hold it, so there are no claws at all. The result is a smooth continuous surface with the diamonds sitting flush in it.

Rub over is the most protective way to set a stone, because the metal covers the girdle, which is the edge of the diamond and the part most likely to chip. It also means nothing stands proud to catch on clothing. On a full eternity ring worn every day, that matters more than on most designs.

We are happy to confirm the origin of the diamonds in this ring, whether natural or lab grown, before you buy, so please just ask.

The band is 18 carat gold, hallmarked so the metal content is independently verified, and is available in yellow or white.

One thing worth knowing before you choose a full eternity ring: because the stones go all the way round, it cannot be resized later in the way a half eternity can. It is worth being confident of your size, and we can measure you properly at the showroom.
