A Case Study: How We Build Trust Through the Bespoke Journey
When I first met Dawn, it was immediately apparent that she had a real love and understanding of jewellery. It was equally clear that she was understandably hesitant about making the right decisions with her own pieces. She knew how important it was to create something she truly loved, and up until this point, she had yet to find the perfect rings to complete her stack.
Dawn had three pieces in total that needed a little TLC and some thoughtful remodelling. The first was her engagement ring, which had sadly lost its centre stone. She also had a trilogy ring that had previously belonged to her mother, giving us a wonderful opportunity to bring the two pieces together.
We created a new mount that allowed us to combine elements of Dawn’s original engagement ring with something incredibly sentimental from her mother’s ring. The result was a design that not only felt right for Dawn and her style, but also carried the story and significance of both pieces forward. It is a beautiful example of how you don’t always need to completely change a design to create something that feels new. Sometimes, simply reworking what you already have can give a much-loved piece an entirely new lease of life.
Thrilled with the outcome of this repair, Dawn then felt comfortable discussing her next, more intricate pieces with us.
Something I really love about this job is how one positive experience can begin to build genuine trust between myself and a client. When you are working with jewellery that holds so much sentimental and personal value, that trust is ultimately just as important as the quality of the finished piece.
