First, try not to get overwhelmed. With ample research and help from your trusted jeweller, your search for your ideal diamond should be an exciting experience. During a consultation, you will know more about the different characteristics of a diamond whether they are natural mined or laboratory grown. You will know the pros and cons of each respective stone including the factors that affect their prices.

In this video from GIA, a short summary of the 4Cs is described. These are the basic but very important criteria of choosing the diamond before deciding on the setting and the design.
