Azha Round and Baguette Diamond Ring Guard, 0.50ct, 18ct Gold

A ring guard is a band designed to be worn with a solitaire rather than on its own. Azha is a split design, which means it is made as a double band with a gap running between the two halves.

Your solitaire sits in that gap, so the centre stone is held between the two rows of diamonds and the three rings read as one piece on the finger. It is a way of adding diamonds either side of a solitaire without replacing or altering the original ring.

Thirty two natural white diamonds are set across it, coming to approximately 0.50ct in total. They are graduated across eight different sizes, from 0.9mm at the smallest through to the 2.8mm baguettes, with round and baguette cuts used together.

The stones increase in size towards the centre, which is what makes the guard frame the solitaire rather than compete with it.

The diamonds are graded G for colour and VS for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to see.

Each stone is claw set, held by small metal prongs at its edges, which leaves the sides open so light reaches them from more directions.

The shank measures 5.6mm at the base, which accounts for the double band.

Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold or 18ct rose gold, hallmarked so the metal content is independently verified.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Because a guard has to fit the ring it will sit with as well as the finger, it is worth bringing your solitaire in so we can check the two work together, and we can adjust it for you if needed.
