  • Description

This promise ring sets three stones side by side on an 18ct gold band: a 5.5mm round natural white diamond, a yellow sapphire and a violet-blue tanzanite, each 3.5mm. Putting a clear stone between two coloured ones gives the row contrast without any single stone dominating.

All three are rub over set, which means a rim of gold is worked over the edge of each stone to hold it, so nothing is raised to catch on clothing. That makes it a practical ring for everyday wear, which matters for a piece meant to be worn all the time.

If you are wondering how a promise ring differs from an engagement ring, the distinction is simple. An engagement ring is given when proposing marriage. A promise ring is given to mark commitment without that step, so it suits a relationship at an earlier stage, or any promise you want to mark.

Choose 18ct white or yellow gold. We make each ring by hand in our own workshop in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it and look after it for you.

Not sure of your size? Take a look at our ring sizing guide before you order, and browse the rest of our ring collection too.

Our guide to diamond quality factors explains cut, colour, clarity and carat, and for something made specially for you, our bespoke service is the place to start.

Every piece we make comes with our lifetime service guarantee.
