Milgrain Marquise Shape Diamond Band, 27 Diamonds, 18ct Gold or Platinum

This band is built from a run of marquise shaped sections joined end to end, each one outlined with milgrain, the fine row of tiny metal beads worked along its edge.

Where the pointed ends meet, the shapes narrow and then open out again, which gives the band its rhythm and the impression of a continuous looping line round the finger.

Twenty seven natural round diamonds are set within those sections in two sizes, nine full cut at 1.5mm and eighteen faceted at 1mm, coming to approximately 0.2ct in total.

The larger stones sit at the widest part of each shape with the smaller ones tapering towards the points, so the stones follow the form rather than cutting across it.

Milgrain is a traditional detail, cut by hand with a fine wheel, and it softens the outline of each section while catching light differently to the polished metal, which gives the ring an antique character.

The diamonds are graded G for colour and VS for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to see.

The band measures 3.1mm across the top and 3.15mm at the base, holding its width all the way round.

Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, 18ct rose gold or platinum. Rose gold suits the antique feel of the milgrain particularly well.

Gold pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office, which independently verifies the metal content.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it for you and look after it in future rather than sending it away.
