Marquise Diamond Half Eternity Ring, 0.5ct, 18ct Gold or Platinum

Nine natural marquise cut diamonds run across the top of this band, each 4mm by 2mm and coming to approximately 0.5ct in total.

A marquise is an elongated cut, pointed at both ends. Because it is longer than it is wide, a marquise covers far more of the finger than a round stone of the same weight, so nine of them at 0.5ct give this ring a reach across the hand that a row of round diamonds would not.

The stones sit end to end with the points meeting, which draws a continuous line rather than a series of separate stones.

The diamonds are graded G for colour and VS for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to see.

Half eternity means the stones cover the top half of the ring only, leaving the underside as plain metal, which sits more comfortably against the neighbouring fingers and makes the ring easier to resize later.

The band is fine, 2.29mm across the top and narrowing to 1.38mm at the base, which is the slimmest shank in our anniversary range. That contrast between the delicate band and the spread of the stones is the character of the ring. The finish is polished.

Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, 18ct rose gold or platinum. Gold pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office, which independently verifies the metal content.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it for you and look after it in future rather than sending it away.
