Altair Floral Contour Diamond Wedding Band in 18ct Gold or Platinum

The Altair is a contoured wedding band, curved along one edge so it sits flush against your engagement ring rather than leaving a gap between the two.

Nine natural white diamonds are arranged along the curve in a loose floral shape, using a mix of round and marquise cuts in different sizes rather than one repeated stone.

A marquise is a pointed oval cut, and the two marquise diamonds sit at either side, with the round stones graded from 1mm up to 2.2mm through the middle. That mix of shapes and sizes is what gives the band its softer, petal-like look.

Total diamond weight is around 0.20ct in G colour and VS clarity, which means a white stone with inclusions small enough to need magnification to see.

Every stone is claw set, meaning small metal prongs hold each diamond at its edges rather than a solid rim of metal. Claws leave more of the stone open to the light, so the diamonds show more brightness, though they do sit slightly higher than a flush setting.

The band is 1.91mm wide at the base, so it stays fine on the finger, and every ring is hallmarked. Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, 18ct rose gold or platinum.

We make each one by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so if the curve needs adjusting to match your engagement ring exactly, our jeweller can do that here rather than sending it away.
