Channel Set Baguette and Princess Diamond Band, 0.375ct, 18ct Gold or Platinum

Fifteen natural diamonds run across the top of this band, seven straight baguettes at 2.5mm by 1.5mm and eight square princess cuts at 1.5mm, coming to approximately 0.375ct in total.

Channel setting holds the stones between two raised walls of metal running along either edge, with no claws at all. The diamonds sit flush and completely level with the surface of the band, which gives a smooth top that will not catch on clothing or scratch what it touches, and leaves nothing to snag or bend.

It is the most protective way to set stones in a band, which makes it a sensible choice for a ring worn every day.

Because both baguettes and princess cuts have straight edges, they sit tight against each other inside the channel with no wasted space, so the row reads as a continuous line of diamond rather than individual stones. The two shapes alternate, the longer baguettes broken up by the smaller squares.

The diamonds are graded G for colour and VS for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to see.

The band measures 2.9mm wide, which gives the channel enough depth to hold the stones securely.

Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, 18ct rose gold or platinum. Gold pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office, which independently verifies the metal content.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it for you and look after it in future rather than sending it away.
