From start to finish, I received a first class service and both were very sensitive to my needs and took a lot of time to listen to my ideas and anecdotes about life and jewellery! The finished product blew me away and made me very emotional; just stunning. Gavin had literally breathed new life into them and created timeless pieces that I can wear every day and then hand down to my daughter. Having never had a ‘bespoke jewellery experience’, they were welcoming, extremely personable and guided me through the entire process. My partner and I were getting married and were looking for some bespoke wedding rings and an engagement ring. From the outset Lorraine and Gavin made the entire experience a real pleasure. They were creative, took our ideas and designed the most beautiful set of three rings for me - when I opened the box I couldn't believe how stunning they were. Gavin had created the most stunning jewellery and had thoughtfully incorporated all of the elements which meant so much to us. It is unique and will be treasured forever and hopefully passed down to our daughters.
We were looking for a designer to make a bespoke engagement ring and wedding ring. We found The Diamond Setter through a local newsletter. From first contact, both Lorraine and Gavin were incredibly helpful. In our first meeting they helped us develop our vague ideas into something more concrete. They took time to talk us through each decision and step of the process. Throughout they were so accommodating in adjusting the designs until we were completely happy.
Gavin and Lorraine were amazing throughout the whole process in the purchasing of our rings. Gavins relaxed approach put us at ease straight away. His knowledge on what would look good and what metals would work well and match my engagement ring really helped. We went into our initial consultation with a vague idea of what we wanted and came away knowing we’d be getting something really special! We couldn’t be happier with the results. I came to Gavin as I wanted to have my engagement ring and my mothers engagement ring put together. I could not be happier with the service and his suggestions. Together we designed a ring, and he made up 2 examples for me to try, which was brilliant as I was quite nervous with it being my mothers ring. We contacted Gavin on the weekend last minute for an 18th birthday gift for our daughter. We had an idea of the type of necklace we wanted and Gavin was quick to respond with a sketch for our consideration. Upon further discussion, we were able to pin down the exact details and once this was confirmed with another sketch, we were able to adjust the size to suit our budget.From first contact, through placing the order and collection, it was four days turn around, which was amazing and meant we were able to give our gift on time!Gavin was very friendly and we would definitely recommend The Diamond Setter to family and friends.

Gavin and Lorraine took time and care in understanding my request to remodel an old family ring. Gavin explained in depth the process of his work. Within two weeks my old ring had been transformed in to a beautiful more modern piece and also a lovely pair of earrings using the original materials. I am impressed by Gavin's craftsmanship and enthusiasm for his work. And I am very happy with my 'new' jewellery.
What I particularly liked was his honesty and transparency, a rare quality I am sad to say nowadays. He clearly knew what he was talking about and I felt I could trust him. The price quoted was excellent. I left the ring with him and he kept me up to date with progress via email and text. I can not recommend The Diamond Setter highly enough. A friend suggested I contact Gavin when I mentioned I was struggling to find a jeweller who would resize my wedding ring in a more exciting way than simply stretching it. My eldest's birthday came around so we visited Gavin in the studio to get some ideas and design her a beautiful ring. I visited Gavin and Lorraine at Salomon's Estate. I found Gavin very professional, friendly and informative. I had a bespoke piece of jewellery made and was very pleased with the finished result. I also found Lorraine very helpful and was impressed how Lorraine kept me informed throughout the whole process with aftercare advice and appointments.

I was introduced to Gavin and Lorraine by a friend when I acquired a stunning Spanish Blue Topaz stone and wanted it made into a ring. As soon as I showed Gavin he knew instantly how to set it and the result was absolutely unbelievable, both my husband and I were blown away! I had 2 rings, 1 from my grandmother and 1 from my Great Aunt, which I never wore. I wanted to find somebody who could advise me on how to join them together somehow so I could wear a ring that reminded me of them both.
