Claw Set Double Gallery Diamond Band, 0.5ct, 18ct Gold or Platinum

Sixteen round full cut diamonds run across the top of this band, each 2mm across and coming to approximately 0.5ct in total.

The gallery is the metal framework that sits beneath the stones and holds the setting together. A double gallery means there are two rails running along the underside rather than one, which is why the ring looks open and detailed when seen from the side rather than solid.

Each diamond is claw set, held by small metal prongs at its edges, so the sides of the stones stay open and light reaches them from underneath as well as above. That is the point of the double gallery: it leaves room for light to pass right through the setting.

The diamonds are graded G for colour and VS for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to see. We are happy to confirm the origin of the diamonds in this ring, whether natural or lab grown, before you buy, so please just ask.

The band measures 2.12mm across the top and narrows to 1.5mm at the base, which is a fine shank for this weight of diamond and keeps the ring light on the finger.

Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, 18ct rose gold or platinum. Gold pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office, which independently verifies the metal content.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it for you and look after it in future rather than sending it away.
