Alcor Diamond Chevron Wishbone Ring, 0.49ct, 18ct Gold or Platinum

Alcor is a chevron ring, also called a wishbone ring, meaning the band rises to a point at the centre rather than running level round the finger.

That V shape is what makes it useful as well as distinctive: the point sits either above or below a solitaire so the two rings nest together without the gap you get when a straight band meets a raised centre stone.

Thirty natural round white diamonds of 1.5mm each are set along it, coming to approximately 0.49ct in total.

Running the stones the full length of both arms means the V is drawn in diamond rather than just in metal, so the shape reads clearly from above.

The diamonds are graded G for colour and VS for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to see.

Each is claw set, held by small metal prongs at its edges, which leaves the sides open so light reaches them from more directions.

The shank measures 1.8mm at the base, slim enough to sit comfortably against another ring.

Choose 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, 18ct rose gold or platinum, hallmarked so the metal content is independently verified.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it for you and look after it in future rather than sending it away.

Because a chevron ring is usually worn with an engagement ring, it is worth bringing yours in so we can check the angle of the V sits properly against it, and we can adjust it if needed.
