Open Bezel Half Eternity Ring, 0.65ct Natural Diamonds, 18ct Yellow Gold

Six natural round brilliant diamonds sit across the top of this band, each 3mm across and coming to 0.65ct in total.

They are graded G for colour and VS2 for clarity, meaning they read as white to the eye and any inclusions need magnification to find.

The setting is what separates this ring from a standard bezel band. A closed bezel surrounds the stone with a solid wall of metal, front and back. An open bezel keeps the rim at the front but cuts the metal away behind and beneath each stone, so the sides and underside are left open.

Light reaches the diamond from below as well as above, which is where a closed bezel loses it, and from the side you look through the setting rather than at a band of metal.

The result is a cleaner, lighter looking ring than a closed bezel of the same width, with more of what you see being diamond.

Using six larger stones rather than a greater number of small ones means each diamond stays individually visible, and at 3mm each they have real presence for a band of this kind.

Half eternity means the stones cover the top half of the ring only, leaving the underside as plain metal, which sits more comfortably against the neighbouring fingers and makes the ring easier to resize later.

The band is 18ct yellow gold. It works on its own as a wedding band, or stacked with other rings, where the open sides let the ring sit close against a neighbour without the bulk a closed bezel would add.

Made by hand in our own workshop at The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, so we can size it for you and look after it in future rather than sending it away.
