Salt and Pepper Marquise Diamond Solitaire Ring, 9ct Gold

Our solitaire sets a marquise cut salt and pepper diamond of around half a carat on a slim 1.5mm round band in 9ct yellow gold.

We make our jewellery by hand in our own workshop in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

A salt and pepper diamond is a natural diamond with black and white flecks, feathers and clouds running through it, which gives it a speckled, smoky look. Every stone has its own pattern, so no two rings are the same.

These diamonds are just as hard as clear white diamonds and come in the same cuts and carat weights. The difference is colour and clarity: a salt and pepper diamond is chosen for how it looks rather than for how white and clear it is, which is also why it costs less than a white diamond of the same size.

This ring carries the Platinum Jubilee commemorative mark, struck to mark the late Queen's seventy years on the throne. The mark was only applied during a limited period, so this is a piece you cannot have made now.
